The first Spanish translation of the Bible using the original Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic source texts was made in the 16th century by Casiodoro de Reina and published in Northern Europe during the Reformation. Then, his version was revised and enriched some 40 years later by Cipriano de Valera. Since that time, this version, known as Reina-Valera, is one of the most widely used among Spanish-speaking Protestants and other Christian denominations. You can own a copy of this important version of the Scriptures thanks to BibleMaximum, which has issued it as an extra module for their BibleMax software. BibleMax is a program that lets you read and study the Bible, and compare different versions of it, including translations in many languages. You can add as many Bible and Bible-related modules as you want, making this program highly customizable. If you want to get the Reina-Valera Spanish version of the Bible, along with many other Bible versions and translations, commentaries, devotionals and more texts, you only need to order the free CD, paying only the duplication, printing, postage and handling costs.
